• Theend ofthecondensatedrainpipeshouldbe
opentotheatmosphere.Theendshouldnotbe
underwaterorothersubstances.
• Tominimizefreezingofthecondensate,runthe
condensatedrainlinethroughaninteriorwallor
betweeninsulaonandaninteriorwall.
• Thecondensate collectorshouldbeusedforall
hydronicheangapplicaons.

gradetotheoutsideof1/4inchperfoot(1.2°)

heater(assomelocalcodesrequire),thata
condensatecollectorisinstalledtoallow
condensaontodrainawayfromthewat
er
heatertoaproperdrainsource.
□Verifythatcondensatewillnotbeallowedto
drainbackintothewaterheater.
□Verifythattheventsystemdoesnotexceedthe
maximumlengthforthenumberofelbowsused.
