An“LC”or“00”diagnosccodeindicatestheunitisbeginningtolimeupandmustbeflushed.Failuretoflush
theappliancewillcausedamagetotheheatexchanger.Damagecausedbylimebuild‐upisnotcoveredbythe
unit’swarranty.Aerflushing,resettheLCcod
ebyturningoffthepowertotheunitandturningthepower
backon.
1. Disconnectelectricalpowertothewaterheater.
2. Closetheshutoffvalvesonboththehotwaterand
coldwaterlines(V3andV4).
3. Connectpumpoutlethose(H1)tothecoldwater
lineatservicevalve(V2
).
4. Connectdrainhose(H3)toservicevalve(V1).
5. Pour4gallonsofundilutedvirgin,foodgrade,white
vinegarintopail.
6. Placethedrainhose(H3)andthehose(H2)tothe
pumpinletintothecleaningsoluon.
7. Openbothse rvicevalves(V1andV2
)onthehot
waterandcoldwaterlines.
8. Operatethepumpandallowthecleaningsoluonto
circulatethroughthewaterheaterforatleast1
houratarateof4gallonsperminute(15.1litersper
minute).
9. Turnoffthepump.
10. Rinsethecle
aningsoluonfromthewaterheateras
follows:
a. Removethefreeendofthedrainhose(H3)from
thepail.Placeinsinkoroutsidetodrain.
b. Closeservicevalve,(V2),andopenshutoffvalve,
(V4).Donotopenshutoffvalve,(V3).
c. Allowwatertoflowthroug
hthewaterheaterfor
5minutes.
d. Closeshutoffvalve(V4).Whenunithasfinished
drainingremovethein‐linefilteratthecoldwater
inletandcleanoutanyresidue.Placefilterback
intounitandopenvalve(V4).
FlushingtheHeatExchanger
e. Closeservicevalve,(V1),
andopenshutoffvalve,(V3).
11. Disconnectallhoses.
12. Restoreelectricalpowertothe
waterheater.
