3. Turnoffallelectricpowertotheapplianceusing
theON/OFFbuon.
4. Thisapplianceisequipped withanigniondevice
whichautomacallylightstheburner.Donottry
tolighttheburnerbyhand.
5. Locatethemanualgasvalveonthesideofthe
heater.Turnthemanualvalveclockwisetothe
fullOFFposion.
6. Waitfive(5)minutestoclearoutanygas.Then
smellforgas,includingnearthefloor.Ifyousmell
gas,STOP!Fo
llow“B”inthesafetyinformaon
above.Ifyoudon’tsmellgas,gotothenextstep.
7. Turnthemanualgasvalvecounterclockwiseto
thefullONposion.
8. Turnonallelectricpowertotheapplianceusing
theON/OFFbuon.
9. Setthethermostattode
siredseng.
10. Openahotwatertap.Iftheappliancewillnot
operate,followtheinstrucons“ToTurnOffGas
ToAppliance”andcallyourlicensedprofessional
orgassupplier.Seemanualforaddional
informaon.
