Turn
off
the
power
switch.
Raise
the needle to its highest
position
by turning
the handwheel counterclockwise
and lowerlhe
presser
foot.
Loosen the needle clamp screw
O
by
turning it
counterclockwise.
Remove the needle trom lhe clamp
O.

Insert
a
new needle into the needle clamp
@
with
the flat side
to the rear.
When inseding
the needle into the clamp
O,
push
it up as far as it
goes.
Tighten lhe
clamp
screw
O
firmly by turning
it
clockwise.
E
To
check
for a
good
needle,
put
the flat side of
the needle onto something flat
(needle plate,
hook cover
plate, glass,
etc.)
The
gap
between
the needle
and
the flat surface
should be consislent.
Never
use a bent or
blunt
needle. A damaged needle can cause
permanent
snags or runs in knits, fine silks and silklike
fabrics.
To
Remove
and
Attach the Foot Holder

To remove:
Remove
the
setscrew

by turning it
counter-clockwise
with a screwdriver.

To attach:
Match the hole in the foot holder

wilh
the
'threaded
hole in the
presser
bar
@.
Fit the
setscrew

into the hole. Tighten the screw

by
lurning it clockwise.
To Remove and Attach

To remove:
Raise the needle to its highest
position
byturning
the handwheel counter-clockwise.
Raise the
presser
foot, and
press
the lever

on the back of lhe toot holder.

Place a selected
presser
foot so the
pin

on
the toot lies
just
under
the
groove
@
of ihe foot
holder.
Lower the
presser
bar
to lock the foot in
place.
