With the stitch length at “ 4 ”, sew straight stitching lines
1 cm (3/8˝) apart, across the area to be smocked.
Knot the threads along one edge.
Pull the bobbin threads and distribute the gathers
evenly.
Secure the threads at the other end.
Sew the decorative stitch between the gathering
stitches. Pull out the gathering stitches.
Note: Loosen the top thread tension to make gathering
easier.

Sew a row of stitches and adjust the thread tension so
the upper thread should appear on the reverse side of
the fabric.
Test the stitch on the actual fabric for the best results.
