c Insert the thread between tension discs from
the right. Then pull both sides of thread.
v Turn the handwheel toward you to bring the
needle bar to its highest position, then pass the
thread through the thread take-up lever cover.

sliding the thread from right to left.
n Pass it through the needle bar thread guide
from left to right.
m Thread the left needle from front to back and
pull the thread about 10 cm (4˝) from the eye of
the needle to the back.

– Gently pull all four thread ends towards the back
of the machine.
– Run threads under the presser foot and lower the
presser foot.
– Close side cover and looper cover.
– Turn handwheel toward you to chain off three or
four stitches.
The sewing preparation is now complete.
