Dismantling and Assembly
1 Replace all seals and ‘O’ rings each time the valve is
dismantled.
2 Do not replace spools 18,19, sleeve 9 and body 15 of
the solenoid valve or spool 16 and body 15 of the shut
off valve as they are clearance packed.
3 Because the poppet 4 and spool 5 of the relief valve are
clearance packed, replace the whole sub assembly.
4 Because the spool 18 and the body 17 of the shut off
valve are clearance packed, replace the whole sub
assembly.
5 If the solenoid 20 is not working with the correct voltage
applied, the lead wire may be damaged, replace the
lead.
6 Check all valves for for damage or defects replace as
necessary.
! WARNING
Hydraulic Pressure
Hydraulic fluid at system pressure can injure you. Before
disconnecting or connecting hydraulic hoses or
couplings, vent the pressure trapped in the hoses in
accordance with the instructions given in this
publication.

Before Dismantling
Before working on the hydraulic system, ensure that the
engine is switched off and the starter key removed.
Disconnect all hydraulic hoses from valve ports. Seal
exposed connections to prevent the ingress of dirt. Mark the
hoses to ensure correct re-connection.
Note:
1 Ensure all work surfaces are clean.
2 Discard and renew all seals, ‘O’ rings and back-up
rings.
3 Lubricate all new seals and ‘O’ rings on assembly,
using a suitable grease or clean hydraulic oil and
ensure seals are firmly and correctly seated.
4 During dismantling, ensure all components are clearly
identified to assist assembly.
5 Handle components and sub-assemblies with care,
they are precision made and are easily damaged.
6 Prior to assembly, all components should be liberally
coated with hydraulic oil to ensure full movement
between moving parts.
7 Ensure screws and bolts are tightened to the correct
torque figures to prevent distortion of parts.
8 After dismantling, use a suitable solvent to clean all
components, dry using compressed air.
9 Torque tightening values in assembly procedures are for
threads lubricated with hydraulic oil.
