Relief valve
Dismantling the Relief Valve
1 Loosen the plug 12 with a spanner.
2 Remove the plug 12, the ‘O’ ring 45 and the shim 27.
3 Remove the spring 19, the spool 5, the shim 14 and the
poppet 4.
Cleaning / Inspection
1 Clean the dismantled parts with a coating of clean oil.
2 Dry with compressed air. Place each part on a clean
sheet of paper or vinyl for inspection.
3 Verify that all sliding parts move easily.
4 Replace the springs if they are damaged, deformed or
worn.
5 Replace all used ‘O’ rings with new before assembly.
6 Check that there is no foreign matter in any passages or
grooves.
Assembling the Relief Valve
1 Install the spool 5 into the poppet 4.
2 Install the poppet 4 and the spool 5, the shim and the
spring 19 into the body 15.
3 Install the ‘O’ ring 45 and the shim 27 into the plug 12.
4 Install the plug 12 into the body 15.
Torque tighten to 102 Nm (75.1 lbf ft).
Check Valve
Dismantling the Check Valve
1 Loosen the plug 31 with a spanner.
2 Remove the plug 31, the ‘O’ ring 44 .
3 Remove the spring 10 and the plunger 8.
Cleaning / Inspection
1 Clean the dismantled parts with a coating of clean oil.
2 Dry with compressed air. Place each part on a clean
sheet of paper or vinyl for inspection.
3 Verify that all sliding parts move easily.
4 Replace the springs if they are damaged, deformed or
worn.
5 Replace all used ‘O’ rings with new before assembly.
6 Check that there is no foreign matter in any passages or
grooves.
Assembling the Check Valve
1 Install the plunger 8 and the spring 10 into the body 15.
2 Install the o-ring 44 onto the plug 31.
3 Install the plug 31into the body 15.
Torque tighten to 48 Nm (35.4 lb/ft).
Shut off Valve 1
Dismantling the Shut off Valve 1
1 Loosen the hexagonal socket bolt 33 with a hex.
spanner.
2 Remove the hexagonal socket bolt 33 and the body 17.
3 Remove the ‘O’ rings 40,41,46 from the body 17.
4 Hold the body 17 in a vice, (do not damage the ‘O’ ring
assembling surface) loosen the plug 31 (beside the
spring) with a hex. spanner.
5 Remove the plug 31, the ‘O’ ring 44.
6 Loosen the plug 31 (spool head side) with a hex.

6 Remove the plug 31, the ‘O’ ring 44.
7 Remove the spring 9 and the spool 18 from the body.

sheet of paper or vinyl for inspection.
3 Verify that all sliding parts move easily.
4 Replace the springs if they are damaged, deformed or
worn.
5 Replace all used ‘O’ rings with new before assembly.
6 Check that there is no foreign matter in any passages or
grooves.
Assembling the Shut off Valve 1
1 Install the spool 18 and the spring into the body 17.
2 Install the o-ring 44 onto the plug 31
3 Hold the body 17 in a vice, (do not damage the o-ring
assembling surface) install the plug 31 in two positions.
Torque tighten to 35.4 Nm (48 lbf ft).
4 Install the o-rings 40,41,46 to the body 17.
5 Tighten the body 17 to the body 15 using the hex socket
bolts.
Torque tighten to 6.86 Nm (5 lbf ft).
Note: Care must be taken when assembling the valve as
incorrect assembly direction will result in the circuit being
disconnected.
