Assembly
Before starting to assemble the track gearbox, bear in mind
the following points:
a All parts must be thoroughly cleaned.
b All 'O' rings, oil seals and floating seals should be
renewed and coated with grease to assist installation.
c Coat all moving hydraulic parts with clean hydraulic oil.
d Do not use cloth gloves. Lint or threads of cloth could
find their way into assemblies and cause malfunction.
Note: During dismantling, it may have been decided not to
remove or dismantle certain sub-assemblies. Consequently,
some of the following assembly steps may not be necessary.
If so, ignore the steps concerned and advance to the next
relevant steps.
1 Fit two eyebolts into diametrically opposite tapped holes
of the hub 1 and install the hub on the workbench.
2 Align the tapped holes of the workbench with those of
the hub and bolt the hub 1 to the bench.
3 Fit collar 11 into hub 1 as far as it will go, so that it seats
against the internal shoulder of the rolling surface for
pins 17 .
