2.3 WALK-AROUND INSPECTION
Begin your walk-around inspection at item 1, as noted below. Continue to your right
(counterclockwise when viewed from top) checking each item in sequence.
INSPECTION NOTE: On all components, make sure there are no loose or missing parts, that
they are securely fastened and no visible leaks or excessive wear exists in addition to any
other criteria mentioned. Inspect all structural members including railing and lanyard
anchorage points for cracks, excessive corrosion and other damage.
1. Platform
-
• Properly installed, see “Platform Installation” on page 5-3.
• Rail Connections properly secure, undamaged and no missing hardware.
2. Rotate Coupler - Undamaged, bolts tight; hydraulic hoses undamaged, not leaking.
3. Platform Recognition Sensor Plate
(AUS): See inspection note.
4. Cables and Hoses
- Clean, undamaged, correctly connected and not kinked or
twisted.
5. Platform Gates
- Clean, undamaged and closes properly.
6. Control Console
- Clean, undamaged; controls return to normal and control markings
are legible.
