Hardware Installation—Installing the
IFC-1010/2020
Any board with a 15-position receptacle suitable for use on the ICA-4 may
also be mounted on the 16-pin plug ICA-4L. The following nine boards
have 15-position receptacles and may be installed on the ICA-4L:

When installing any board consisting of 15-position receptacles on the
16-pin plug ICA-4L, only Pins 1 through 15 will engage. The 16th pin will
remain on the outside of the board receptacle (refer to Figure 15).
A 16-position ICA-4L is required for Local mode general alarm bus
operation (refer to Loop Interface Boards [LIB-200, LIB-200 A, and
LIB-400] section).

Although cable, Part Number 75142 consists of a 15-pin plug and a
15-position receptacle (Figure 16), it can still be mated on the 16-pin plug
ICA-4L, only Pins 1 through 15 will engage. The 16th pin will remain on
the outside of the board receptacle (Figure 17).
