Press
this switch to turn
on oower to the
receiver. Press
the
switch again to turn
off the
power
and activate the
STANDBY
mooe.
Note: The receiver
uses a small amount of
power (5
watts)
in
the
STANDBY mode. To
disconnect
power
completely, unplug
the
power
cord.
@Speaker
Swltch
Press
the two SPEAKERS switches
in
to turn Soeakers 1 and
Speakers
2
on.
Press
the SPEAKERS switches out to turn the
speakers off.
@Headphone.tack
Stereo
headphones may
be connected
here. For
private
listening,
press
both speaker switches off.

Source $elect
Use these six buttons to choose the stereo source
you
want
to listen
to.
Source Indicator
Lights show which source(s) have
been selected.

CD;
Press to listen
to CDs.
FIG Press
to
listen
to
FM
broadcasts.

listen
to
AM
broadcasts.

These live lights
tell

which stereo source(s) are

played
through the receiver. The TAPE

MONITOR
indicaior
may turn on
or off
independently
while other indicators

Surround Indlcator Llghts
This indicator lights
up when
the
surround sWitch
is
ON.

Tuner DIspIay Wlndow
The Tuner Display Window indicators
provide
information on
AM
and
FM
broadcast
reception.
The Tuner Display Window
is also used to set and recall oreset
radio
stations.

BECE YED Indlcator
This
indicator lights up when signals are received from the
remote
control unit.

This indicator lights
up when signals are
received from the
remote
control unit or when
the receiver is in the
STANDBY
mode.
9Remote
Sensor
The Remote Sensor receives the signal sent by
the remote
control unit.
Note:
lt is important
to
keep the Remote
Sensor
clear of
obstructions in order for
it
to
receive
signals
from the remote
control unit.
@Bass
Control
This controls the
low-frequency
sound
range. Turn the BASS
control
right to
boost
bass response. Turn
left to
decrease
'
bass.
@
trcble Control
This controls the high-frequency sound
range. Turn the
TREBLE
control
right
to boost treble
response.
Turn left
to
decrease treble.

Control
This controls the volume
balance between the
left
and right
speakers. Turn the BALANCE
control right to
increase
volume
for the right
speaker(s).
Turn
the BALANCE control left to
increase volume for
the
left
speake(s). ln the center
position,
left
and
right
speakers have
equal
volume.
@Volume
Control and Yolume lndlcator
Hght
Turn
the VOLUME control to
adjust
the
volume.
The
VOLUME
indicator lights
up when the
power
is ON and fickers when
the remote control is
used
for VOLUME
and
FADE
MUTING.
@funer
Use the buttons on the tuner to
tune
in
the
AM
or
FM
broad-
cast station
you
want to listen to. These
buttons are also used
for
setting and recalling
preset
radio stations.

Swltch
This
switch turns the
surround sound effect ON or OFF.
