3.3.3 UDP command: failsafe
The failsafe function is a way to detect a failure of the network communi-
cation between the UDP application and the charging station. In this case,
the charging station will fall into a state with a definable current limitation. By
default, the failsafe function is disabled and must be enabled by the appli-
cation.
This function must be used with caution. It should be noted that all P30
charging stations offer multiple ways to set up the device in such a way that
electrical overload can be avoided. The hardware switches (DIP switches)
allow to configure a limit for the maximum charging current that cannot be in-
creased by UDP commands. The charging station also offers a monitoring
function of the electrical connection of the household (in conjunction with an
appropriate meter) preventing overload situations.
A triggered failsafe function can be recognized via the data offered by re-
port 2: the "Enable sys" value is set to 0 and "Max curr" is equal to "Curr
FS". After the failsafe function has been activated due to a timeout, you
must set the values of current and the load enable again using the associ-
ated commands currtime / curr and ena.
