A measurement of 10 minutes duration results in a drift of:
This absolute error is in relation to the measurand and, for
example, with 2 500 N force amounts to around ±0,34 %.
If conversely no more than, for example, 2% accuracy is to
be lost, the measurement must not take longer than:
Measurements lasting from minutes to several hours are
therefore possible depending on the accuracy of sensor,
the measurand and the accuracy required.
6.5 Tips for good measurands
Always store the measuring instruments in the same
room in which measurements are to be carried out.
Keep the connecting cable connected to both the sen-
sor and the measuring instrument. If this is not possible,
install the protective caps on the connectors..
Mount the sensor exactly as specified.
Turn on the measuring instrument for about one hour
before the first measurement.
Set the sensitivity of the sensor according to the details
in the calibration certificate.
Select the measuring range or the scaling of the output
voltage so that the maximum measurand is in the range
of 50 ... 100 %.
Avoid temperature changes during the measurement.
Actuate measurement (Operate) only shortly before the
actual measurement.
