5.9.1 Combination with Other Devices
Risk from combination with other electro
-medical units!
The unit may be combined with other electro
-medical units only by the manufacturer or with the
manufacturer's consent. When combining the
Minicutter with electromedical devices other than those
specified in these Instructions for Use, attention must be paid to the following points:
The electrosurgical unit may interfere with other electro-medical devices.
Accessories that are to be connected to the device must demonstrably satisfy the applicable
IEC specifications.
Anyone who connects additional devices to the input or output section thereby configures the system

• In case of questions, the Martin Service Center provides information.
5.10 Risks from Accessory Equipment
Danger of injury from defective accessory equipment!
Using accessory equipment that is not in perfect working order, defective or faulty, can pose a
hazard to
patients or users and compromise the proper functioning of the electrosurgical unit.
Be sure to keep accessory parts for electrosurgical units in perfect operating condition.
Use of uncertified accessories by other manufacturers may constitute a source of danger. In case of
doubt, contact Gebrüder Martin.
Accessory equipment labeled as single-use must not be reprocessed or reused.
• Accessories unfit for further use are to be scrapped.
5.11 Inadvertent emission of HF energy
Certain foot switches have magnetically activated reed contacts and must therefore be kept out of the
immediate vicinity of magnetic fields (especially of MRTs).
Otherwise this can lead to unintentional activation of the foot switches. For the same reason,
magnets must be kept out of the immediate vicinity of the foot switches.
Further information can be found in the respective instructions for use of the foot switch.
5.12 Maintenance
During use, no maintenance work may be performed on the Minicutter.
