9.5 Checking the stabilisation unit
After coupling and activating the stabilising device, the condition of the friction
elements can be checked.
A wear indicator located on the upper side of the handle is provided for this
purpose.
The condition of the friction elements must be checked according to the following
instructions:
The condition of the coupling ball on the towing vehicle must also be checked.
Driving with the trailer must not be attempted until the friction linings have been
replaced.
A spare parts kit is available for the replacement of the friction elements, under
article number 209698.001, which contains detailed instructions for the replace-
ment of the friction elements.

+ mark is visible, the friction
elements are in a good wear
condition.
+ mark is not visible, the friction
linings must be replaced
If the “+” mark is no longer visible, the friction linings
must be replaced immediately.
