Recommended
configurations for using
the Stacking option
Following are some examples of how to use the Stacking option.
Short document out-sorting
If your goal is to sort checks or short
documents from your other documents,
configure the Stacking settings as
follows:
Stack to put detected documents in:
1 (stack #1)
and set the Length option to:
Less Than: the length of your shortest
document plus 1/2-inch.
NOTES:
•You need to add an extra 1/2-inch to
account for possible skew during feeding
short documents.
•If you attempt to stack the shorter
documents in Stack #2, they will not successfully reach the Stack #2
location.
• For documents shorter than 6 inches, you may consider using the
Short Document Insert to improve stacking in Stack #1.
