Error codes Use the table below as a guide to check possible solutions to problems
you may encounter when using the Kodak s1220 Photo Scanning
System.
Error Code Message Description
Access to destination folder XXXX could not
be set exiting the application.
Verify that there is a valid Target_Path for the scanned
photos in the PrintScan.ini file.
Burn CD/DVD button is disabled. Run as Administrator or have the administrator give
limited rights users permission to burn CD/DVDs. Refer
to Chapter 7, Application Configuration.

Failure to communicate with the scanner.
Please retry. If this error persists, please
contact Support with error code XX.
Verify that the s1220 Scanner is attached, turned on and
the green LED is on and steady. If the error persists,
contact Kodak Service.

Failure to communicate with the flatbed
scanner. Please retry. If this error persists,
please contact support with error code 10X.
Verify that the flatbed is attached properly to the s1220
Scanner. If the error persists, contact Kodak Service.

this error persists, please contact support
with error code 11X.

If the problem persists, contact Kodak Service.
1001 Error Code: 1001. Installation error. Could
not fetch image processing defaults. Please
check PrintScan.ini. Exiting...
Verify that a valid PrintScan.ini file exists. Reinstall the
Kodak s1220 Photo Scanning System. Refer to Chapter
2, Installation.
1002 Error Code: 1002. Could not read image
processing defaults from s1220.Profile.
Continuing with default settings.
Verify that a valid s1220.Profile file exists. Reinstall the
Kodak s1220 Photo Scanning System. Refer to Chapter
2, Installation.
1003 Error Code: 1003. s1220 Driver version
incorrect. Refer to s1220 Photo Scanner
User’s Guide, Chapter 7 for more
information.
The s1220 Photo Scanning System software does not
support the i1220 Plus Scanner drivers. Do not install
those drivers for the s1220 Photo Scanning System. To
re-install the s1220 Photo Scanner drivers, turn off the
s1220 Photo Scanner and run the SetupFW_i1200_
v2.23.exe from the i1220 folder on the KODAK s1220
Photo Scanning System Software CD. Reboot the PC
then power on the s1220 Photo Scanner. This will re-
install the correct version of the s1220 Photo Scanner
drivers.
1120 Image Cleaner Tool failure. Please retry. If
this error persists, please contact support
with error code XXXX.
If the problem persists, contact Kodak Service.

Start error. Kodak s1220 Photo Scanning
System copy protection error. No license
found.
Verify that the supplied s1220 USB software dongle is
plugged into a USB 2.0 port on the PC.
4000 CD/DVD burning is not supported
•Run as Administrator or have the administrator give
limited rights, users permission to burn CD/DVDs.
Refer to Chapter 7, Application Configuration.
• Verify a CD/DVD burner is installed on the PC.
4001 Please install Windows Feature Pack for
Storage.
Reinstall the Kodak s1220 Photo Scanning System.
Refer to Chapter 2, Installation.
4002 Delegate Function error. Reinstall the Kodak s1220 Photo Scanning System.
