Pull out the jammed document from the exit area.
Close the exit door.
• When you close the exit door, close it securely until the door is locked. Do not slam the exit
door.
If the jammed paper cannot be removed from the exit door, remove it from the document feeder as
described in “
Removing Paper Jams from the Document Feeder” on page 57.
