Cooling system
u Remove remaining screws 4 and screws 7.
u Remove thermostat housing 3.
u Remove guiding rods.
u Remove thermostats 1.
u Remove pipe 9 with flange 6.
Installation
u Assemble pipe 9, and flange 6 with o-rings 5, 8.
u Insert o-rings 8 on coolant pump inlet.
u Position pipe assembly on coolant pump inlet.
u Install thermostats 1 in thermostat housing 3.
u Place guiding rods in place of two screws 4.
u Install thermostat housing.
u Install screws 4.
u Remove guiding rods.
u Install remaining screws.
u Install thermostat housing 3 with screws 4, 7.
u Install new screw plugs 2, 10.
u Tighten screws to torque.
Information
Vent coolant circuit at the end of installation.
Specific values
Thermostats HT start to open at 71 °C (160 °F) and are fully opened at 81 °C (178 °F).
Tightening specifications
Refer to standard tightening torques. (For more information see: 5.3 Standard tightening torques,
page 274.)
