8.6.1.6.3 (e): Fuses and fuse holders
Procedure Note
Check to ensure control fuses are securely
mounted, are making good electrical contact, and
are sized properly.
Never replace fuses with wire or current-
carrying devices.
8.6.1.6.5: Fire extinguisher
Procedure Note
Check the expiration date on the fire extinguisher,
if present.
Notify a supervisor if it is out of date.
8.6.4.1.2: Hoist rope lubrication
Procedure Note
Examine the hoist ropes and look for the
following conditions:
ropes are dry or the lubricant is stiff
red dust on the ropes or on the floor
metal dust under the drive sheave or pulleys
sheave grooves are dry (no oil film on fingertip
when wiping
If any of the conditions in the procedure are
found, lubricate the ropes using Kone wire
rope lubricant (Part # US45786001).
