Warning! - Risk of injury when grinding the blades!
Sharp edges on the blades could lead to cut injuries. Flying sparks resulting from grinding could
lead to serious injuries of the eyes.
• Wear protective gloves to remove/insert the blades.
• When grinding the blades, always wear protective gloves and protective goggles.
Fig.
• Check the sharpness of the blades (1) daily.
If the blades are dull:
• Grind the blades at the rear of the cutting edge (2) (side without serrated edge).
Make sure that
– no notch is made in the area (3).
– the blades do not heat up excessively.
Note: The blades are too hot if you can see discolouration in them. Excessive heat
reduces the lifetime of the cutting blades.
• Remove the deposits in the area (3) (contact point to stop rail), if necessary.
Note: If there are deposits in this area, the blade cassette could not be swivelled in
completely.
