7.1Checks and maintenance measures when preparing for use
Info
Before every trip, check the condition of the vehicle and ensure that it is safe to operate.
The vehicle must be in perfect technical condition when it is being operated.
Check the engine oil level. ( p. 87)
Check the front brake fluid level. ( p. 67)
Check the rear brake fluid level. ( p. 68)
Check the front brake linings. ( p. 68)
Check the rear brake linings. ( p. 69)
Check the brake system.
Check the coolant level. ( p. 80)
Check the chain for dirt. ( p. 61)

Check the tire condition. ( p. 74)

Warm the tires to the operating temperature with a tire warmer.

7.2Starting

When running the engine, always make sure there is sufficient ventilation, and do not start or run the engine in an enclosed
space without an effective exhaust extraction system.

equipment may be damaged.
Never operate the vehicle with a discharged battery or without a battery.
Note
Engine failureHigh engine speeds in cold engines have a negative effect on the service life of the engine.
Always warm up the engine at low engine speeds.
