Note
Engine damageImpaired cooling efficiency due to air trapped in the cooling system.
After draining coolant and refilling the cooling system, the motorcycle must be raised at the front according to the model type.
This is the only way of ensuring that the cooling system is filled without air bubbles. (Your authorized KTM RC8 workshop will be
pleased to help.)

Check the coolant level. ( p. 80)
Remove the cap of the compensating tank.
Add coolant to the specified level.
Guideline
The coolant level must be between MIN and MAX.

Mount the cap of the compensating tank.
14.4Adding coolant/bleeding the cooling system x
Warning
Danger of poisoningCoolant is poisonous and a health hazard.
Avoid contact between coolant and skin, eyes and clothing. If it gets into your eyes, rinse immediately with water and con-
tact a doctor. Wash affected skin areas immediately with soap and water. If coolant is swallowed, contact a doctor immedi-
ately. Change clothes that have come into contact with coolants. Keep coolant out of the reach of children.
Condition
The side cover has been removed.

Position the vehicle as shown and secure it against rolling. Height difference
must be reached.
Guideline
Height difference 50 cm (19.7 in)

Remove radiator cap and bleeder screw of the radiator.
