– Remove the exhaust cover. ( p. 58)

– Park the motorcycle on a level surface.
– Place a suitable container under the engine.
– Remove oil drain plug with the magnet, O-rings, and oil screen.

Remove the oil filter. x ( p. 88)
– Completely drain the engine oil.

– Thoroughly clean magnet and oil screen of the oil drain plug.

– Mount and tighten the oil drain plugs with the magnet, O-rings, and oil screen.
Guideline
Oil drain plug M20x1.5 20 Nm
(14.8 lbf ft)

Install the oil filter. x ( p. 89)
– Install the exhaust cover. ( p. 58)
– Install the right side cover. ( p. 57)
– Install the left side cover. ( p. 57)
16.4Removing the oil filter x
Warning
Danger of scalding Engine oil and gear oil get very hot when the motorcycle is ridden.
– Wear appropriate protective clothing and safety gloves. In case of burns, rinse immediately with lukewarm water.

Environmental hazard Hazardous substances cause environmental damage.
– Oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaners, brake fluid, etc., should be disposed of as stipulated in applicable regulations.
– Place a suitable container under the engine.

– Remove screws . Take off oil filter cover with the O-ring.
