11.18 Removing the shock absorber
Preparatory work
– Remove main silencer. ( p. 67)
– Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 49)

Main work
– Remove the cable ties.

Remove screws

with the washers.
– Take off the left frame protector.
– Push the right frame protector to the front and take off at the
bottom.

Remove fitting

Raise the swingarm slightly to be able to remove the
screws more easily.

– Pull off foot brake cylinder from the push rod.

– Remove the connecting link of the chain.
– Take off the chain.

Cover the components to protect them against damage.
