[2] DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING
(1) Draining Oil and Coolant
Draining Engine Oil
1. Start and warm up the engine for approx. 5 minutes.
2. Place an oil pan underneath the engine.
3. Remove the drain plug (1) to drain oil.
4. After draining, screw in the drain plug.
(When refilling)
Fill the engine oil up to the upper line on the dipstick (2).
IMPORTANT
Never mix two different types of oil.
Use the proper SAE Engine Oil according to ambient
temperature.

Draining Coolant
CAUTION
Never remove radiator cap while operating or immediately
after stopping. Otherwise, hot water will spout out from the
radiator. Wait for more than ten minutes to cool the radiator,
before opening the cap.
1. Prepare a bucket. Open the coolant drain cock.

(2) External Components
Air Cleaner, Muffler and Others
1. Remove the air cleaner and muffler.
2. Remove the fan, fan belt, alternator and starter.
(When reassembling)
Check to see that there are no cracks on the belt surface.
IMPORTANT
After reassembling the fan belt, be sure to adjust the fan belt
tension.
Do not confuse the direction of the fan. Attach the fan with
its “1C010” marking facing frontward (toward the radiator).
