Replacing the side skids
The machine is factory set with low skids. Additional
skids are supplied with the machine.
- Remove side skids (1) (a):
• Remove the 4 nuts (2).
• Remove 4 bolts (3).
- Fit raised skid shoes (4) (b):
• Reinstall bolts (3) and nuts (2):
• Torque: 8.5 daN m (63 lbf ft).
FC302RG:
Pitch angle 0°: L1: 115 mm (4.5’’).
Pitch angle 6°: L2: 70 mm (2.8’’).
FC352RG :
Pitch angle 0°: L1: 136 mm (5.4’’).
Pitch angle 8°: L2: 37 mm (1.5’’).
Too low a cutting height can lead to:
- Excessive disc and knife wear.
- Crop being contaminated by soil.
- Delay in regrowth.
