2. Adjustments in working position
Cutting height
Different factors allow adjusting the cutting height.
Adjusting the cutter bar pitch angle
The disk pitch angle adjustment allows modifying the
cutting height:
- Loosen the check nut (1).
- Modifying the pitch angle using the top link (2):
• A mark (3) allows reading the pitch angle
adjustment.
- Tighten counter nut (1).
- Proceed the same way on the other side.
Place the machine on flat ground.
The cutting height is adjusted with the
machine attached, hitch pins at 500 -
550 mm (1’7’’ - 1’9’’) from the ground.
Cutting height is always adjusted before
adjusting the ground pressure.
FC302RG:
Pitch angle 0°: L1: 60 mm (2.4’’).
Pitch angle 6°: L2: 35 mm (1.4’’).
FC352RG :
Pitch angle 0°: L1: 73 mm (2.9’’).
Pitch angle 8°: L2: 22 mm (0.9’’).
Too low a cutting height can lead to:
- Excessive disc and knife wear.
- Crop being contaminated by soil.
- Delay in regrowth.
