Finishing
Time must be taken when ploughing the final furrow to ensure that
the strip of field which remains is of an equal width.
Figure A and B show finishing with a 5-share plough. Finishing
starts when the remaining furrow width is twice the number of
shares minus 1 (9 furrows for 5 shares - 11 furrows for 6 shares,
etc.). The front section is ploughed at half-depth. This half furrow is
ploughed with the last body on the last pass.
