The Admin password is not written to the config file for security reasons, however, the Admin password can be
set using the config file by eliminating the semicolon and entering a password string, for example:
ll but the desired IP Filter settings are removed from the sample config file. In this cloning example the settings are not
modified, instead they are copied from one IB-23 to another. However, it is also possible to edit the settings in the config
file and write it back to the source IB-23 and thereby change its settings.
! Note:
The config file can be used to create new settings, e.g. add new IP Filters, or to overwrite existing settings, e.g.
remove or modify existing IP Filters.

Figure 3 shows only the remaining config file commands that will be written to the target IB-23.
Step 3 - Write the Configuration File to the Target IB-23
The procedure for writing the config file to a target IB-23 is exactly the same as the procedure for reading the file in Step 1
except command # 5 is
put config
rather than
get config
(see Figure 1
).
