What to do if there are contaminants outside of my Labconco Laboratory Equipment fume hood?
    • A
      Antonio WilkinsonAug 7, 2025
If you're experiencing contaminants outside of your fume hood, several factors could be at play. First, check for any obstructions in the baffle air slots or the exhaust outlet; remove baffles to ensure all air slots and the exhaust outlet are unobstructed. Also, external factors might be disrupting the fume or acting as a source of contamination. Finally, if you have an XStream Fume hood, it may have an improper face velocity and should be re-certified, and the remote blower exhaust system should be checked. The XStream Hood should have an average face velocity of 60-100 fpm.

Why do the electrical duplex outlets on my Labconco Laboratory Equipment no longer have power?
    • M
      Mrs. Lauren RamosAug 12, 2025
If the electrical duplex outlets on your equipment have no power, it could be due to a couple of reasons. Either the wires are not connected or the duplex is faulty, so check the wire connections or replace the duplex. Alternatively, the circuit breakers in the building's electrical supply may have tripped; in this case, reset the circuit breakers.

How to fix a Labconco Protector XStream 9840400 vertical sash that no longer operates smoothly?
    • J
      Jason BrooksAug 19, 2025
If your vertical sash isn't operating smoothly, several issues could be the cause. Inspect the cable for fraying or damage to the plastic protection, and replace it immediately if worn or damaged to prevent injury. Also, the pulley bearing may be damaged, requiring replacement or greasing. Check if the cable has slipped off the pulleys and re-install it, replacing it immediately if damaged. Additionally, weight pulleys might be broken and need replacement, or horizontal glass panels may have come off the tracks, requiring re-installation.

What to do if service valves on my Labconco Protector XStream 9840400 show no PSI?
    • L
      levinemartinAug 25, 2025
If your service valves show no PSI, there are several things to investigate. Start by inspecting the building supply shut off valves for any issues. If the valve no longer operates, replace it and check for leaks. Finally, inspect the supply or outlet lines for leaks and fix any leaking plumbing connections.
  • M
    Michael RandallAug 30, 2025
How to fix lights that won't operate on my Labconco Protector XStream 9840400 Laboratory Equipment, even though the fume hood blower works?
    • A
      Angel LynchAug 30, 2025
If your fume hood blower is working but the lights are not, it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, inspect the lamp wiring to ensure it is properly connected. If the wiring is intact, the lamp ballasts may be defective and need to be replaced.
