8 Chapter 2– Turn on Your Camera Back and Camera
The procedure that you use to turn on your camera back and camera
depends on whether you use a compact flash card and battery, a digital
magazine or work in tethered mode. Each procedure is explained
separately in this chapter.
Using the Leaf Aptus with a Compact Flash Card and Battery
1. Ensure that the battery is charged. For more information, see the
Installation Guide.
2. Before inserting a compact flash card in a Leaf Aptus digital camera
back for the first time, you should format the card. For detailed
instructions on formatting the compact flash card, see Formatting a
Compact Flash Card on page 11.
3. Insert the compact flash card. For more information, see Inserting a
Compact Flash Card on page 16.
4. Press and hold the on/off button on the camera back until the orange
light turns on, and then release the on/off button. When the camera is
ready to shoot, the light turns green and a ready beep sounds.
5. Verify that the message Ready to Shoot appears on the touch screen.
