Large swinging-arm and table-clamp stands
Table-clamp stand 11>- Use the clamp to secure the coiLJmll to
a tab le top 20 mm - 50 mm thick.

.I.\ The safety r ing secures the instrument and must always
~ be positioned beneath the horizontal arm.
11>- Position the safety ri ng with the screw head u ppermos t and
towards you, and slide it down the column .
11>- Re tighten the clamping screw.
11>- lower the horizontal arm onto the safety
ri ng , with its end poi11ting towards you.
11>- Ret ighten the clampi11g screw.
The screw head must engage the notch . lt
limits the lateral movement. lt may not be
removed, and neither may the safety ring
be milled down.
If the horizontal arm is swung out beyond
the limit, the instrument may fall over .
Th is section describes the assembly of the focusing drive with
side-faced carrier
rod . To fit the focusing drive with peg , refer
to page 28 .
11>- Re lease the clamping leve r.
11>- Tilt the carrier rod downwards.
11>- Retighten the clamping lever.
11>- Slide the dri ve housing with side-fa ced
carrier rod on to the horizontal arm.
11>- Ret igh ten the clamping lever.
