TheEthernetconnector0forsystemmanagementis82574Lbydefault.Ifyouhaveselectedsharemode
forthe82574LEthernetconnectorintheSetupUtilityprogram,youcanusetheconnectorasanordinary
Ethernetconnectorwith100Mbpsnetworkconnectivity.However,teamingwithotherEthernetconnectors
isnotsupportedifthemanagementEthernetconnectorisusedasanordinaryEthernetconnector.
TosetthemodeoftheEthernetconnector0intheSetupUtilityprogram,dothefollowing:
1.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram.See“StartingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage59.
2.OntheServerManagementmenu,selectBMCNetworkConguration➙BMCLANShareSetting.
3.Dooneofthefollowing:
•IfyouwanttousetheEthernetconnector0asanordinaryEthernetconnector,selectShared.
•IfyouwanttousetheEthernetconnector0asadedicatedsystemmanagementEthernetconnector,
selectDedicated.
4.PressF10tosavesettingsandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.
ExitingtheSetupUtilityprogram
Afteryounishviewingorchangingsettings,pressEsctoreturntotheSetupUtilityprogrammaininterface.
Ifyouareonanestedsubmenu,pressEscrepeatedlyuntilyoureachthemaininterface.Then,youcando
oneofthefollowingtoexittheSetupUtilityprogram:
•IfyouwanttosavethenewsettingsandexittheSetupUtilityprogram,pressF10orselectSave&Exit➙
SaveChangesandExit.Otherwise,yourchangeswillnotbesaved.
•Ifyoudonotwanttosavethenewsettings,selectSave&Exit➙DiscardChangesandExit.
•Ifyouwanttoreturntothedefaultsettings,pressF9orselectSave&Exit➙RestoreDefaults.

instructionsfromotherlayersofsoftwareintoelectricalsignalsthattheserverhardwarecanexecute.You
