19.Theoldsystemboardmustbereturnedwiththemicroprocessorsocketcovertoprotectthepinsonthe
microprocessorsocketduringshippingandhandling.Usethemicroprocessorsocketcoverremoved
fromthenewsystemboard.
Toinstallamicroprocessorsocketcoverontheoldsystemboard,dothefollowing:
a.Afteryouhaveremovedthemicroprocessorfromthefailingsystemboard,closethemicroprocessor
retainer.Then,putthelevertothelockedpositiontosecuretheretainerinplace.
b.Notetheorientationofthesocketcover,andinstallonesideofthesocketcoverintothe
microprocessorsocket.Carefullypresstheothersideofthesocketcoverdownwarduntilthesocket
coversnapsintoposition.
