Toinstallamemorymodule,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,disconnectall
powercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtotheserver.
2.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage41.
3.Laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
4.Locatethememoryslotsonthesystemboard.See“Locatingpartsonthesystemboard”onpage17.
5.Removeanypartsordisconnectanycablesthatmightpreventyouraccesstothememoryslots.
Dependingonyourservermodel,youmightneedtoremovethePCIExpressx16cardforeasieraccess
