What does internal limitation mean on Lenze 9300?
    • J
      justin00Sep 23, 2025
Data generated by calculations of the 9300 servo positioning controller cannot be varied arbitrarily. If the value falls below or exceeds the internal limit value the warning “P18” will be set and the value is limited to the minimum or maximum. If C1298 = 1, C1298 = 2, C1298 = 3, C1298 = 4, C1298 = 5, check the entries under the corresponding parameters. If necessary, read the value decreased in the event of a fault under C1220/10-13 and overwrite the value entered under corresponding parameter.

What causes an earth fault in Lenze 9300?
    • J
      Jack HerreraAug 25, 2025
If your Lenze Controller displays an 'Earth fault' error, it means one of the motor phases has contact with the earth or there's excessive capacitive charging current in the motor cable. Check the motor and supply module. Also, consider using a shorter motor cable or one with lower capacitance.

What does motor phase failure mean on Lenze 9300?
    • A
      aowensAug 26, 2025
If your Lenze Controller shows a 'Motor phase failure', it indicates that a current-carrying motor phase has failed, or the current limit is set too high. Check the motor and the supply module. Set a lower current limit value under C0599.

    William MyersAug 27, 2025
Why does my Lenze 9300 Controller show a communication error?
    • A
      Aaron PhamAug 27, 2025
A communication error on your Lenze Controller may arise from interference during the transmission of control commands via the automation interface X1, or faulty data received by CAN_IN objects. Ensure the automation module is firmly plugged in and bolted down if necessary. Also, check the cable at X4, inspect the transmitter, and increase the monitoring time under C0357/1, C0357/2, or C0357/3 if needed.

How to troubleshoot high heat sink temperature on Lenze 9300 Controller?
    • K
      Kyle LewisAug 27, 2025
If the heat sink temperature of your Lenze Controller is higher than the set value, it could be due to a high ambient temperature (Tamb > 40 °C or 50 °C), a dirty heat sink, or an incorrect mounting position. Allow the controller to cool and improve ventilation. Check the ambient temperature in the control cabinet. Clean the heat sink and change the mounting position if necessary.

How to fix encoder fault at X9/8 on Lenze Controller?
    • P
      Paula WhitneySep 15, 2025
If your Lenze Controller displays 'Encoder fault at X9/8', the cable might be interrupted, or input X9 PIN 8 is not assigned. Check the cable for an open circuit. Assign input X9 PIN 8 with 5V or switch off monitoring (C0587 = 3).

    Rhonda ClaySep 12, 2025
What causes external fault (TRIP-Set) on Lenze 9300?
    • H
      Holly MitchellSep 13, 2025
If your Lenze Controller displays an 'External fault (TRIP-Set)', it means a digital input assigned to the TRIP-Set function has been activated. Check the external encoder.

    Katherine CrosbySep 14, 2025
What to do for resolver fault on Lenze 9300?
    • S
      Stacey WrightSep 14, 2025
If your Lenze Controller shows 'Resolver fault', the resolver cable might be interrupted. Check the resolver cable for an open circuit, check the resolver, or switch off monitoring (C0586 = 3).

    Melissa KingSep 5, 2025
What to do if Lenze 9300 exceeds maximum speed?
    • T
      Troy MontgomerySep 5, 2025
If your Lenze Controller indicates 'Max. speed exceeded (C0596),' it suggests that the active load is too high or the drive is not speed-controlled with excessive torque limitation. Check the drive dimensioning and increase the torque limit if necessary.
  • H
    Holly NelsonSep 2, 2025
Why does my Lenze 9300 Controller show PTC overheating at terminals T1, T2?
    • C
      Chad WilliamsSep 3, 2025
If your Lenze Controller indicates that the 'PTC at terminals T1, T2 indicates motor overheating,' it means the motor is too hot due to excessive current or frequent and prolonged acceleration, or the terminals T1, T2 are not assigned. Check the drive dimensioning. Connect the PTC or thermostat, or switch off monitoring (C0585=3).
