Data transfer by modem is performed using the PPP protocol that provides secure data
transmission.
The system bus configurator serves to automatically establish the automatic dial−up
connection on the PC side (see arrow).
The baud rate on the telephone line is adjusted by both modems. Depending on the quality
of the connection, it is reduced automatically, if required, based on 33.6 kbits/s.
