What to do if a jam occurs in Lexmark Printer?
    • J
      joshua45Jul 26, 2025
To resolve paper jams in your Lexmark Printer: 1. Open the top door and remove any paper from the fuser unit. 2. Open the rear door by sliding the release button to the right and remove any paper. Avoid leaving the rear door open for too long, as light exposure can damage the photoconductor drum. 3. Open the front door by sliding the release button to the left, pulling the door up until it clicks. Remove any paper, which may require removing the toner cartridge (grasp the handle and pull straight out). Place the toner cartridge on a flat, clean surface when removed. 4. Replace the toner cartridge by sliding it along the guides back into the printer. 5. Close all doors and press the Continue button to resume printing.

When the toner low light appears on your Lexmark Printer, you can extend the toner cartridge life by removing it and gently shaking it from side to side and front to back to redistribute the toner. Reinsert the cartridge and repeat if the print remains faded. If the issue persists, replace the toner cartridge.

How to fix missing characters when printing envelopes on Lexmark E120 Printer?
    • T
      Taylor Johnson IIAug 17, 2025
If characters are missing when printing to envelopes with your Lexmark Printer, check the printer driver settings to ensure 'Envelope' is selected from the Paper Type menu. If it is, try selecting a rougher texture setting, as toner may not adhere well to smooth envelopes. You can select 'Custom 6- Rough Env' from the Paper Type menu in the printer driver. To revert Custom 6 to its default settings for Paper Type, Texture, and Weight, use the Local Printer Setup Utility on the Software and Documentation CD.
