Using Abbreviated Dialing
Abbreviated Dialing is similar to speed dialing. You can use
either of the following abbreviated dialing features.

Contacts Match– Retrieve any number saved in your
Contacts by entering only three consecutive digits of the
number. Highlight a Contact entry and press to dial
the retrieved number. (See “Contacts Match”on page 66.)

Prepend–P
repend the first five or six digits (for example,
the area code and prefix) to any four or five digits you
enter. Pres

to dial the resulting number.
To place a call using Contacts Match abbreviated dialing:
1. Enter the last three digits of a Contact entry’s phone
number.
2. Use to highlight contact match and press to
call the displayed number. (If there is more than one
matched number in your Contacts, the Abbrev. Dial list
is displayed. Select the name you want to call from the
list, and then press to place a call.)
To place a call using Prepend abbreviated dialing:
1. Enter the last four or five digits of the number.
