In addition, some rails available on the market may also be used. To do this, remove the insert on the bottom
of the machine.
Use the following procedure to remove the
insert:
1. Loosen the screws (25) at the insert (26).
2. Pull out the insert (26).
➢ The groove that appears now is used to
set the machine on other guide rails.

5.10.2 Pre-scoring with the guide rail
To avoid tearing the surface of panel materials, use the pre-scoring function of the
machine when you work with guide rails. Here, the cutting depth is limited to 2.5 mm [0.1
in] and the saw blade is minimally offset from the cutting line.
Use the following procedure to use the pre-
scoring function of the machine:
1. Secure a guide rail on the workpiece.
2. Position the machine with the guiding groove
on the guide rail.
3. Rotate the notch for pre-scoring (3) clockwise
until it hits the stop.
➢ The pre-scoring depth is now set to 2.5
mm [0.1 in]

4. Pre-score the plate.
5. Rotate the notch for pre-scoring (3)
counterclockwise.
➢ The workpiece can now be cut at the full
cutting depth.
