The MT is only ready for operation when the air pres-
sure in the compressed air tank of the third circuit is
more than 5.2 bar.
z Make sure the semi-trailer/trailer or gooseneck have been
securely coupled. The control lights in the instrument
panel need to light up.
Checking the equipment
z Adjust the mirrors before you start driving the MT.
z Secure loose objects, for instance in a storage net.
DANGER!
Accident hazard!
Loose objects in the cabin can block the pedals.
This can cause you to lose control of the MT and could
lead to accidents.
X Do not to store loose objects in the driver's cab.
X Secure loose objects so that they cannot obstruct the
pedals. Use the storage net for instance.
Driving with towed loads
The driver is responsible for safely loading the cargo.
z Always adjust the speed to the circumstances when
driving with the direct or towed loads.
z Drive in a manner that the train can be braked safely at
any time. This especially applies to driving with unbraked
roll trailers or cargotrailers.
z In the case of trailer vehicles with compressed air brakes,
ensure that the compressed air lines are connected to the
corresponding coupling heads.
z Make sure there is enough side clearance when driving
around obstacles.
