Driving with rear axle differential lock <Fahrt>
The rear axle differential lock secures wheels on the rear axle
of the MT from spinning freely on slippery surfaces. The rear
axle differential lock stays engaged as long as you hold the
“rear axle differential lock” switch down, see “Rear axle differ-
ential lock <Stillstand schalten>” on page 65.
DANGER!
Accident hazard!
The MT is less responsive to steering movements when
the rear axle differential lock is engaged. Driving
around obstacles is more difficult.
X Drive with adjusted speed when the rear axle differ-
ential lock is engaged.
X Note that the steering radius is greater.
CAUTION!
Axle damage!
Tensions in rear axle.
The rear axle can become damaged while driving
across rough surfaces.
X Use the rear axle differential lock only while driving
on slippery surfaces or for initiating movement under
difficult circumstances.
X Switch off the rear axle differential lock when driving
on rough surfaces.
