Transmission oil level
WARNING!
Accident hazard!
The MT can begin to roll while the engine is running
and cause serious physical injury to any persons in the
vicinity.
X Engage the parking brake to secure the MT against
rolling away and/or colliding with other objects.
X Always shift into neutral before exiting the
driver's cab.
CAUTION!
Transmission damage!
If the oil level is too high or too low this can result in
damage to the transmission.
X Ensure that the oil level is always between the “MAX”
or “MIN” limits.
X Use only authorised types of transmission oil.
The oil dip stick is located below the service door directly on
the transmission.

Run the engine at idle speed.
X Unscrew the oil dip stick.
X Pull the oil dip stick out.
X Wipe the oil dip stick with a clean, lint-free cloth.
X Reinsert the dip stick completely.
X Pull the oil dip stick out again.
The oil level should lie between the “MIN” and “MAX”
markings.
Only qualified technicians may top up the transmission
oil.
