4.10 DIGITAL INPUT MODULE – GEN 2
This section is applicable to the following digital input part number(s):
• 198-80104-DNPT1
Identifying a GEN2 Digital Input module:
• The module will contain a label with the part number listed above
• The LED overlay decal will be blue
The Flex M Digital Input module allows the reading of eight digital signals. Each of the digital inputs can
be configured for a range of 4-36VDC (Low Range) or 36V-240VAC/DC (High Range) operation for either
AC or DC voltages via a manual jumper connection. Refer to Figure 33 for jumper locations and settings.
The input reference voltage is not supplied by the card. Figure 34 shows the wiring for the module. For
each input pair, one input is used for the reference and the other input is used for the input to be read.
The rotary switch, located on the lower left corner of the board, sets the digital input module number.
