3 Replacing appliance parts to rectify problems

3.16.2 Removing and fitting the ignition and monitoring electrode

Tools required
5.5mm socket wrench
Requirements
Check that the following requirements have been met:
The appliance has been disconnected from the power supply and protective measures taken to
ensure the power cannot be switched on again.
The gas supply has been shut off.
The left-hand side panel has been removed.
The convection burner fan has been removed.
Removing the ignition and monitoring electrode
1.
Remove the two screws using a 5.5mm socket wrench.
2.
Pull out the ignition and monitoring electrode.
Do not re-use the old graphite gasket.
Fitting the ignition and monitoring electrode
Follow the steps in the reverse order to fit the ignition and monitoring electrode.
Before fitting, replace the old set of gaskets.
Use a new graphite gasket.
After fitting the ignition and monitoring electrode, make sure that the installation is gas-tight.
