3.2.2 Removing and fitting the halogen lamp

Handling the halogen lamp
Always wear gloves or use a cloth to handle the working halogen lamp. Never touch the glass bulb of
new or reusable halogen lamps with bare fingers.
Requirements
Check that the following requirements have been met:
The appliance has been disconnected from the power supply and protective measures taken to
ensure the power cannot be switched on again.
The appliance has cooled down.
The right-hand rack has been hinged inwards.
Removing the halogen lamp
1. Use an 8mm open-ended wrench to remove the four hex bolts on
the oven light.
2.
Take the light enclosure parts carefully out of the cooking cham-
ber.
3.
Reach through the hole in the cooking chamber wall into the
reflector housing and pull the halogen lamp out.
Fitting the halogen lamp
Follow the steps in the reverse order to fit the oven light.
Make sure you fit a working halogen lamp and an unused, intact gasket for the oven light.
