3 Replacing appliance parts to rectify problems

Lack of oxygen
Risk of suffocation from lack of air suitable for breathing
Inadequate ventilation at the installation location can lead to suffocation while the appliance is running.
Z Do not obstruct lower area of appliance.
Z Make sure that the fitted ventilation and air supply equipment is working.
Z Make sure that the ventilation regulations specified by the fitter are complied with.
Hot surfaces
Risk of burns from high temperatures on interior and exterior parts of the appliance
You may get burnt if you touch any of the interior parts of the cooking chamber, the inside of the
appliance door or any parts that were inside the oven during cooking. In addition, touching the air vent
and exhaust outlet can result in burns.
Z Before starting servicing and repair work, wait until the cooking chamber has cooled to below 60°C or
use the ‘Cool-Down' function to cool the cooking chamber.
Z Wear personal protective equipment.
Moving heavy loads
Risk of injury from lifting incorrectly
When lifting the appliance, the weight of the appliance may lead to injuries, especially in the area of the
torso.
Z Use a forklift truck or pallet truck to place the appliance in the installation position or to move it to a
new position.
Z When shifting the appliance into the correct position, use enough people for the weight of the
appliance when lifting it (guide value: 15 to 55 kg max., depending on age and gender).
Observe the local occupational safety regulations.
Z Wear personal protective equipment.
Rotating fan
Risk of hand injuries from fan wheels in the cooking chamber and in the wiring compartment
After removing the suction panel or after opening the cover, the turning fan wheels may cause injuries to
the hands or entangle hair or loose clothing.
Z Disconnect the combi steamer from the power supply before removing the suction panel and before
opening the cover.
