Replacing Dongle with the new Dongle type
Symptom
When the M2GO/M2GO dongle has to be replaced with a new dongle type, an adapter PCB is
used.
Solution
Follow these instructions to replace the Dongle.
Tools needed
Torx T-10 screw driver.
Anti-Static Precautions
Important! Static electricity can destroy electronic
components. Follow these ESD precautions to prevent damage
to the product and injury to the user.
Carry out the service at an anti-static workstation.
Wear a grounded anti-static wristband.
Touch a grounded conductor every few minutes to discharge any
static buildup.
Hold components by their edges only. Do not touch the surfaces or
any of the contacts of the PCBs.

Anti-Static Precautions

M2GO/M2PC Dongle Replacement Procedure

Power Down and Disconnect

Switch off the controller and disconnect its power cable before starting the replacement.

Remove Front Panel Assembly

Unscrew and detach the front panel from the controller housing using a Torx T-10 screwdriver.

Separate Front Panel from Housing

Remove the front panel from the bottom housing, placing it behind as illustrated.

Remove Cable Adapter PCB

Gently extract the cable adapter PCB from its sockets on the front panel PCB without unplugging cables.

Remove Old Dongle

Carefully pull the old dongle by its black connector, peeling off any hot glue.

Prepare New Dongle Assembly

Connect the new dongle's adapter PCB and dongle part, ensuring correct orientation.

Connect New Dongle Combination

Attach the assembled new dongle onto the front panel PCB according to the illustration.

Reconnect Cable Adapter and Front Panel

Reconnect the cable adapter PCB and reassemble the front panel, avoiding cable pinching.

Connect Power and Verify Operation

Connect power, laptop (M2PC), load showfile, and check for "LIVE" status.

Secure the Controller

Complete the process by reinserting all screws to close the controller.
